Pain and Gain

The Daily Post: Daily Prompt – Do you agree with Jane Fonda’s favorite exercise motto, “no pain, no gain?” Is it impossible to attain greatness without considerable hardship?

I completely agree.  It is impossible to attain greatness without considerable hardship.  It is interesting (and true to how the world works) that it does not specify who is going to endure these considerable hardships.  It would be nice if we could say with 100% honesty that those who are wanting greatness are the ones who endure the pain; we know this is not the case.  Someone will, though.  If we work together on adjusting the attitude of society, then I think the pain and gain will be more proportional.
